- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Knowledge of technical theater, including but not limited to: theatrical rigging, theater safety, audio and lighting systems, special effects, video, theatrical scenery and drapery, set decorating, scenic and prop construction, maintenance and repair
- College degree in Theatre or related discipline (preferred but not required) or equivalent related certification or documentation of experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including: early mornings/days/evenings/late nights/weekends/holidays.
- Must be team-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Must be able to obtain valid drivers license with proof of insurance and be able to meet BEC driving guidelines
- Be capable of successfully interacting with various entertainers, technicians, outside contractors, entertainment and park staff, and personnel from other departments.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Hands on capability to operate technical equipment and troubleshoot technical problems
- Perform theatrical service technical duties and responsibilities proficiently with an understanding and demonstration of strong technical skills.
- Job Responsibilities: Including but not limited to;
- Capable of consistently performing all assignments and responsibilities as outlined for a stagehand, spotlight operator, light board operator or audio operator.
- Perform scene shifts, props changes, assist as needed with puppeteering, costume changes, special effects and provide theatrical support assistance to vendors/contractors.
- Perform daily operational duties to assist the department to include covering open positions, communicating show changes, schedule changes and other details and sharing information with co-workers and management.
- Skills in carpentry, painting, repairs of technical equipment, or programming of equipment etc.
- Troubleshoot needed maintenance and make minor repairs on scenic elements, sound system or lighting system, lighting fixtures or other technical components.
- Consistently set the example for following all park policies and procedures.
- Perform stagehand, show scene shifts and other behind the scene duties for shows.
- Operate spotlight duties for assigned shows in the park.
- Operate light board and/or audio console for shows in the park.
- Responsible for maintaining quality standards, through assigned tasks, special events and show positions. Maintain cleanliness and maintenance standards through all assigned tasks.
- Maintain departmental and area safety policies and procedures.
- Provide technical support and service for all departmental needs.
- Perform other functions as directed by management for the good of the department and park
